Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know which battery is compatible with my wheelchair or mobility scooter?
Battery compatibility depends on more than just voltage and capacity. The battery dimensions, slide-rail connection, connector type, and physical design must also match your original battery.
Even the same wheelchair or scooter model may have been produced with different battery versions.
If you are unsure, please contact us before ordering and send us:
- Your wheelchair or scooter brand and model
- A clear photo of your current battery
- A photo of the battery label
- A photo of the battery connection/slide rail
- Battery dimensions, if available
We will be happy to help you identify the correct battery.
Is matching the voltage and Ah enough to confirm compatibility?
No. Two batteries may both be, for example, 24V 10Ah, but still have different dimensions or connection systems.
Always compare the physical size and connector/slide-rail design with your original battery before ordering.
Can you verify compatibility from a photo?
In many cases, yes.
Please send clear photos of the battery, battery label, connector, and slide-rail connection. If possible, also provide your wheelchair or scooter model.
We recommend confirming compatibility before placing an order whenever you are unsure.
What does Ah mean?
Ah stands for amp-hours and indicates the battery's capacity.
Generally, a higher Ah battery can provide a longer driving range when it is compatible with the same wheelchair or scooter. However, a higher-capacity battery may also be physically larger, so you should always confirm dimensions and compatibility first.
Can I replace my battery with a higher-capacity battery?
Sometimes.
For example, some models may accept both 12Ah and 20Ah batteries. However, the higher-capacity version must have the correct dimensions, connector, voltage, and battery mounting system.
Please contact us before upgrading if you are unsure.
Are your lithium batteries allowed on airplanes?
Some of our batteries are specifically designed for air travel. Many airlines allow lithium-ion batteries for electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters up to 300 watt-hours (Wh), subject to their individual rules and handling requirements.
However, airline policies can vary, and final approval is always determined by the airline. Battery installation, whether the battery is removable, and how it is transported may also affect the requirements. We strongly recommend contacting your airline before traveling and providing them with the battery voltage, capacity, and watt-hour (Wh) information.
Never assume that a battery will be accepted by every airline.
How do I calculate the battery's watt-hours (Wh)?
Watt-hours are calculated by multiplying the battery voltage by its amp-hour capacity.
For example:
24V × 10Ah = 240Wh
The Wh rating is particularly important when checking airline requirements.
Does the battery come with a charger?
Please check the specific product listing carefully.
Some of our products include battery only, while others are specifically listed as Battery with Charger.
If the product title or description does not state that a charger is included, please contact us before ordering if you need one.
How often should I charge a lithium battery if I am not using the wheelchair or scooter?
Lithium-ion batteries should not be left discharged for long periods.
Even when the wheelchair or scooter is not being used, we recommend checking and recharging the battery periodically. Leaving a lithium battery discharged for several months may cause it to become deeply discharged and potentially unusable.
Should I fully discharge my lithium battery before charging it?
No. Lithium-ion batteries do not need to be completely discharged before recharging.
It is generally better to recharge the battery before it becomes completely empty.
My charger light stays green. Does that mean my battery is good?
Not necessarily.
A green charger light may indicate that the battery is fully charged, but it can also occur if the charger is not properly communicating with the battery or if there is another connection issue.
If your wheelchair or scooter is not operating properly, we may ask you to check the battery voltage with a multimeter.
Can you help me test my battery?
Yes.
If you have access to a digital multimeter or voltmeter, our customer service team can help guide you through basic battery testing.
Testing the battery before ordering replacement parts can help determine whether the problem is actually caused by the battery, charger, wiring, or another component.
Do you sell mobility scooter replacement parts?
Yes. We carry replacement parts for select mobility scooter models, including compatible versions of:
- Rubicon FX03
- Klano KX30
- Comfygo MS3000
- LELEKUAI
- Dragon Mobile EX
Available parts may include chargers, wheels, motors, controllers, lights, brake components, steering components, throttles, and other replacement parts.
Please check the product listing or contact us to confirm compatibility.
How can I make sure I am ordering the correct scooter part?
Please provide the brand, model, and a clear photo of the original part whenever possible.
Scooters with similar appearances can sometimes use different electrical or mechanical components, so visual confirmation can help prevent incorrect orders.
